My character was slotting a Mandarin Chinese chip on the gargoyle hunting
mission and used his Creative Writing skill to make a haiku to boost the
PhysAds morale:
Mountaintop soared
Giants fell before new gods
Iron caged stone
It occurs to me that these haikus might make good elements to add to a
storyline. For instance, if the PCs should be involved in a mystery, let
these be the clues. Or have a team in competition with the runners for the
same jobs leave these behind as taunts when they beat them to the punch.
One of the neat little things I threw into a campaign where I was dealing
with new players was making a business card which said simply "Johnson" and
had an address handwritten on it. The card was handed to the players by an
observer after a small fracas in the street. The card bearer was in the
employment of a Johnson needing fresh, disposable talent. Using this prop in
the game helped get the players into the feel of the whole thing.
