different gaming groups to do "familiarization sessions" with Shadowrun
4th Edition. Since this is the first time any of us has played it since
1st edition Earthdawn his the streets oh-so-many moons ago, we all
needed a refresher on the universe and the mechanics. We're due to
start the "actual" campaign in about six weeks with both groups as one
(six players total), and I really want to provide as much flavor and
atmosphere as possible, so I thought I'd attempt to enlist the
discussion list's help.
In my sixth world, information is king, queen and jester; the blogger,
gossips and fixers are the power brokers. I expect that a significant
portion of each adventure will involve the team seeking information.
When they do, I'd like to provide little tidbits and sound bytes to
reinforce the idea of the world being bigger than what the team keeps in
the safe house, so I want to pepper their efforts with various rumors,
whispers, news reports and corporate propaganda that address not only
the world at large, but other teams' activities.
As you think of them, if you could throw interesting POV news tidbits
and reports up on the discussion list, I'd appreciate it. I'll start it
out by way of an example.
