Where's Pete Simms when we need him? :]

Or Spike :]

Or Sascha Pabst.

Man, just remembering all these names makes me weepy and nostalgic.

Busy busy, sadly. Much of the writing and so on... has kept me off my
usual online haunts, mostly. SOTA marked the start of a big writing binge
for me, and I'm feeling like I need a vacation :)

in '96):

It's Janne, actually. There's a big difference, 'cos Janne is a man's

Wow. The names bring it all back to me. It was like 1995, and it was an
off week if I hadn't spent at least 12 hrs in a single block running SR
for a 12+ member game. I was watching the flames going back and forth on
the list, while still maintaining a rather large signal to noise ratio
(compared to, say, usenet).

What happened to them?

Heck, when did we ever start with being OT. I seem to recall getting
halfway down the page before the ObSR flag brought it (barely) on topic
- and that was 10 messages into the thread.

I think I'm getting old, I'm reminiscing about the good old days...
(Which were almost certainly not as good as I recall).

The last couple of years, I think... At least today I got something like 45

That's probably because he hasn't been on the list for at least two years,
on account of not playing SR anymore. (I have a feeling the last time he
did was when I ran a game at GenCon UK 2000, and even then he said that was
the first time in years he'd gotten to play SR.)
