Ok, here it goes for like the 5th time, my plea for a group. After being
screwed over by several GM's, I'm going to GM myself, to hell with those
guys. I'm looking for 3-4 people to play, I don't do 7 people groups,
and if I did, it wouldn't move very quickly. :-]

The campaign will be set in the Front Range Free Zone, normally known as
Denver. The reasons I'm not doing Seattle is Denver rocks, Findley
rocks, and everyone does Seattle, I want to do have something different.
In the next paragraph, I'll list the stuff people need to do in my
campaign.

First, no bloody munchkins, if you are a munchkin, save me the trouble
of dealing with you. No deckers because I have VR2 and still don't get the
Matrix (sorry for being an idiot:). No riggers until I buy the RBB2 or
magically find a copy of the old RBB and want to deal with it. No more
than 90,000 nuyen, why? Because I say so. Points based and priority
based character creation are both allowed.

Now, if anyone actually reading this lives in Seattle, please, please,
drop me a note.

P.S. I know where 2 copies of Denver exist for $22 a piece, talk to me if
you want them (yes, you need to pay S&H, no I'm not making a profit.)
P.P.S. While I'm at it, there's a "limited edition" Rifts thing at the
same store, it says only 16k copies were made, it's like 32-33 bucks.

Hey, Skye. I know how you feel. Sometimes it's real difficult getting
together a group of gamers you really feel you can acomplish things
with, and more importantly have fun with. I [like I think most of the
others out there in Matrixland can attest] have had more than my share
of disappointments with the way other gm's ran, or having to deal with
the whinning/powergaming attitude of the other players, that eventually
ruined the game. Luckily, I've reassembled my old group from before
I moved. I have to trek aways to get together with them, but it's
definetely worth it. The sessions really rock [who says you can't go
back again]
But I did learned from all those aborted campaigns, and it helps me
run a better game myself. Just a small word of suggestion: see who
answers your call, then have little chats with them, to find out what
they like and don't like in a game, and how they want to play it. Once
everybody gives a little as far as how they'd like the game structured,
it makes things run a hell of a lot better, at least in my opinion.
Be firm in what kind of world you'd like to portray, but bend just
a little to let you players feel they're not under a dictatorship.
As for running in Denver, I agree with your reasons. Seattle WAY to
crowded with runners, and EVERYBODY games there [no offence intended to
those in Seattle <throws flame-retardent cloth over self to avoid being
char-broiled :->] That's why I primarily run in Europe.
These are just some suggestions from a white haired GM, who
realized the object of the game is to have fun, not a heart attack.
