Uhh..what?

Cyberpunk, the genre, not "Cyberpunk" the R. Talsorian Game, BTW.
Cyberpunk originated with Phillip K. Dick and Gibson and Effinger, and many
games embrace the same idea: Shadowrun, Cyberpunk, that one from ICE
(Cybersomething), etc. The two former came out on top. I play Shadowrun
'cause it's a change of pace from the usual dark ambience game. Shadowrun is
cyberpunk at its core, not AD&D with tech. Magic should add to your game,
add some exotic to cyberpunk, but it should not hide the fact that Shadowrun is,
after all, a place where violence, decadence and decay prevail.

BTW, as much as I love Shadowrun, you should play Fading Suns if you're
looking for a pure "sci-fi meets magic" game... After SR and Rolemaster, my
absolute favorite game, and climbing fast.
