Last weekend I ran a shadowrun LARP at our local tournament. Though
very hectic for me, I had a visiting member of a live roleplaying
club give my game the honour of being the best LARP he had played in.
Basically the players were representatives of the Big Ten as well as
major countries and some second tier corporations, all gathering
together most of the way through 2061, in order to put a stop to the
violence amongst the Megacorps that has arose because Zurich Orbital
was destroyed. I had many plot twists ready for the players but did
not need to use most of them as the players proceeded to backstabb,
harrass, assassinate, plot, invade, and generally be mean to everyone
else. One of the crowning moments was when the representative of
Cross used the Seraphim to assassinate a head member of the Shiawase
family because he garbled what the Mitsuhama guy was asking him to do
as a favour. When Mr Shiawase got told this by Mitsuhama, he
threatened to tear Cross to pieces unless the Seraphim do some jobs
for Shiawase against Yamatetsu. Shiawase was somewhat controlling the
Corporate Court at this point, since he was a shrewd and intelligent
speaker.

Sounds great!! How I envy you! But the question is, is the destruction of
Z-O cannon? If it is, when did it happen?

I seem to recall stateing that this would be a very prominant situation once
the game began :)

Er, not that I'm aware of :-). I'm pretty sure that, in this case, it was
the major plot element that drove the game. In the context, it certainly
sounds like it worked, too.
