Well tonight I went to go see a pretty cool movie, 8mm.

None of the following is really a spoiler cause you find it out either
through the previews or in the first 15 minutes of the movie.

For those of you who have been hiding in a cardboard box 8mm is the new
movie out starring Nicholas Cage. He's a private eye working for different
people in high places. His reputation precedes him as a respectable, and
low-profile detective. His "Mr. Johnson" is a lady by the name of Mrs.
Christian. The Christian's are a wealthy couple who are respected and well
known. Recently Mr. Christian passed away so Mrs. Christian decided to put
away his last possesions notably his secret safe behind his lifesize
portrait in his private office. What Mrs. C was an 8mm tape that portrays a
man in a mask beating, raping, and killing a young girl. What Mrs. C wants
Cage's character to do is find out what happened to that girl. Is this just
a snuff tape where the death scene was faked or is it real?

The movies Shadowrun similarities in:
1. Mr Johnson hiring the runner for a missing person case.
2. Dealing with street contacts (mostly unknown contacts)
3. Lots of surveillence on suspects
4. Dealings with the porn underground (could be replaced with the weapons
underground or some other black market)

It was a dark movie with a running time of about 2hr 15min. I would
definitely recommend it.
