Here is a question for this list.

I have been a player of shadowrun for a long time now.

I have collected a large amout of shadowrun items over the years.

Is it true that there is a company publishing in Germany a Shadowrun
Magazine?

If so how long has this company been publishing it. Since Second, third or
Now Forth edition?

Also is it me or is there no more shadowrun sites up that support Fourth
Edition?

I love this game I just can't seem to find any new or somewhat new fan
support Shadowrun.

Any web sites that support 4th edition. is wanted.

Thanks and remember in a fire fight if your guns are in range so are there
guns.

Unfortunately apart from this most Shadowrun sites are from 2nd edition
and the authors are long gone into Real Life.

However dumpshock is pretty good.

You are both wrong. ;)

There was, until 1999, the WunderWelten[0], FanPro's in-house magazine,
covering all RPGs in their portfolio, which includes Shadowrun.

Proteus, for example, made its first appearance in a WuWe
adventure/supplement, as well as equipment (including 3rd Edition stuff,
prices in Euros ;)

Well, it's *been* a while, and the WuWe never reached as much
circulation as the community of DSA, Battletech, and Shadowrun would
have allowed, for better or worse.

I remember that I had only some issues, that it was rather expensive
(like all magazines of this kind imho because of the low print run I
guess) and that the material was mainly adventures (and even back
then I bought never books with runs) but no other real interesting
material for Shadowrun. Therefore it was better relying on the
internet with sites like blackjack or the dumpshock-columns which
gave useful tips for gamemastering and new material and not new runs.

In what languages? In English it's mostly Dumpshock, in French you have
http://shadowrun.fr, in German and Polski several ones, etc.

yeah. To me, it seemed more like elaborate advertising, rather than a
useful addition. I'd still like to see something like the "Aventurischer
Bote" for Shadowrun: A more or less regular, completely in character
newspaper.

Maybe this could done with members from this list? The technology is
there, and if somebody would donate web space, I could, probably,
prototype something like that (at least in the tech area, not so much in
the design area).

If you've got the team, I've got the gear.

Yup, I can give web space, although based in Western Europe.

Well, if there are any volunteers, feel free to contact me.

I'll write something more eye-catching after Easter.

shadowrungamers.com (as well as gamers-nest.net) and would be willing to
share for a project of this nature....

This thread had me thinking about the english-language
shadowrun magazine that ran for some time. For some
reason I can't remember the name (Gurth?).

In any case, is there any possibility of putting these
online as PDFs? What would be the copyright issues
involved, could the original publisher be contacted
and asked whether they can be released into the public
domain, or at least be turned into a pay-for-download
document?

cheers,

Jan Jaap

If you mean the hardcopy magazine, you could be talking about either
Ka*Ge or Shadowland. Ka*ge had 13 issues, off the top of my head, and
Shadowland had 7.

Gurth is right about the names and issues.

WizKids has the copyright on Ka*Ge, but I don't know about Shadowland.

I'm sure Adam knows.

That would be awesome! I have a couple already in that format
somewhere.
