Hey, I've been meaning to post this for some time [but my mind's
been slipping more than usual lately :-[, has anyone out there seen a
manga series supposedly based on Shadowrun?
I came across the reference at EX: the online world of Anime and
Manga e-zine. It's done by Saiki Kazuma. The series started about
July95, with the first compilation in July96. It's the story of a
group of shadowrunners in Tokyo circa 2050.
The characters are Face (street ronin), Mitia (cat shaman),
Sharon (decker), Grey (company man), Hikaru (physad), and Hashizou
(mage). According to the review, the characters are a bit staid (TOO
archetypical, like pre-gen character types) but still shows promise.
Saiki seems to go a touch overboard in the cyberware department [hey,
it's manga, what do yah expect :-]. Orin Starchaser [the article's
writer---really] says if you're into Shadowrun, it's definitely worth
a look.
I can't seem to find it anywhere, and my local anime store hasn't
seen it. The compendium is listed as 166 pages [5 chapters and SR
Encyclopedia] and put out by Dragon Comics, for Y980.
Can anyone help?

This is news to me!
I'd dearly love to see it though.

Yeah, that's pretty much a given with manga.
Part of it's charm IMO. :-)

What was the name of the series?
Could you send me the link where you found this info?
I'm intrigued.
