Ok,

I *know* this has come up before, maybe even recently, but my players
have made a request that i give them a list of movies that convey the
feel of the Shadowrun Universe, or at least some aspect of it.

I was wondering if there were any suggestions as to what i could put on
a list. Weather it be a movie that portrays a future much like the one
in Shadowrun, or just one aspect of the game.

Thank you,
-- Aristotle

Go to Deep Resonance (Shadowrun.html.com) and follow the link to Lady
Jester's site UCAS online. She has a list already compiled for you that
gives you both the movie title and what is Shadowrunny about it.

Hmm. That can be a toughy! Personally, I think the following movies are
really good for SR:

Strange Days (Simsense and BTL dealers)
Bladerunner
Spawn Cartoon (gloomy atmosphere galore)
Ghost in the Shell (for those in love with their cyberware)
Akira (secret gov't projects 'n stuff)
Battle Angel Alita (hard to beat it for pure dystopia)

That's all I can think of right now! there are some movies (ie The
Matrix) which would work and I haven't seen. Also, there are a number of
books which are also good. Anything by Stephen Barnes is OK. And of course
there is William Gibson.

Lets' see here...

Ronin
the Matrix
Johnny Mnemonic
Lawnmower Man (the first one, *maybe* the second)
the Professional (IMO)

Those are the ones that immediately come to mind for me...
