What does the term "MUSH" stand for? What is the difference between it and a
"MUD". While I'm at it, I might as well ask what a "MUCK" is too.

I read a couple of weeks ago about someone mentioning
a Shadowrun Mush starting...Well, I haven't gotten my
mail for a couple of days due to some technical difficulties...
Anyways, I was just wondering if anyone knew if it was up yet,
and had the address...

Thanks

I'd heard mentioned several weeks ago that a Shadowrun MUSH was going to
be started up. The date that was given in the post about the MUSH was
about a week later. This was mid March? and I hadn't heard anything
since so I thought I'd drop aline to the source of the horse...

Thanks,

Shadowrun MUSH is now up for buisness. Well, kind of. You can log on a
create a character but don't expect to keep it. They are open for looking
around but not for RP. So they will probably be nuking all non-important
characters.
For those of you who forgot the site address it's:

yacht.slip.andrew.cmu.edu with the port 4201

Ok boys and girls. I have a report on the opening of Shadowrun MUSH.
Opening day will be June 1st. If you have a character on there, and are
not a coder/builder/wizard it will be purged. Also, they are going by
registration. This means that you will have to submit brief characcter
concept to the address I will post later.
More as it comes.

Well, I just logges onto shadowrun MUSH today and have begun the Char
gen. So far I am not impressed. My biggest problem is that they
downgraded the resources, making the max amount of money available to be
100,000. In the world of SR, that's something a street runner would get
for starting cash. So St. Sammies, don't expect to get incr. reflexes.
More to come as it happenes.

Firstly, what's a MUSH?
Secondly, why is max resources only 100,000Y? My characters usually
take resources at priority C and that's 90KY

Well...I'm an Admin on Shadowrun MUSH (Castaway, Dept. Head of Streets) and I
personally think it's great:) It's been moved to Harker.Dnaco.Net 4201 and
right now they are not accepting character applications. Why? Because we are
recoding it so we can have online registration rather then the old Email in
your idea and wait two weeks for a response. Hopefully the Online
registration will be up before January is over. Still, you can pop in as a
Guest and look around somewaht. Guests are limited to certain OOC (Out of
Character) areas so you can't walk down to the Seattle Space Needle or into
the Barrens and get your head pounded in the Barrens and the like. On the
average good evening, there are between 20 and 30 and somtimes we get pretty
close to 50 people on line. Stop by:) Ya can feel free to harass me as
Castaway if you'd like as long as I'm not busy blowing up Seattle:)

I'm also a player on the SRUN MUSH, and I think it does a great job of
re-creating the SR atmosphere, allowing players to play corporators,
wageslaves, security guards, gangers, and many other character types other than
the standard "runner"... Personally... I was head of CorpSec for Aztechnology
NW, until the new corp restructuring policy took all megacorp PCs, and moved
them to subsidiaries.... I am currently working on creating a new subsidiary
before the MUSH officially opens.... My character's name is (was) Anaconda.

Would you need any players for your corp? I would be interested in joining
once the CharGen gets working. I have alot of exp. playing Shadowrun in RL
but never online. What kind of characters would you need?
