Hey, this is something I've just got to know. I recently read something that
mentioned a CD that was distributed having the core rules of Earthdawn on
it. And I know there was a CD for Vampire that I was considering picking up
at one point. So there's got to be a CD-ROM for Shadowrun, right? And if
there is, where would I get it?

Nothing planned, CD-wise for Shadowrun, yet.

Damn...cuz I'll tell ya I'd buy it. I would MAKE the money happen for this
one! Course...if I had enough time I suppose I could always make my own, but
even if I did I'd still buy the offical licensed copy.

Funny, really. If any game would benefit from having a technological
counterpart, you'd think it would be Shadowrun. I hope if they do make a CD,
they give away free cables with little sticky discs on either end that you
stick to your temple and to the computer.

According to James Mick, at 14:16 on 23 Jun 00, the word on the street
was...

FASA gave them away about two years ago to try and make ED a bit more
popular. It has an HTML version of the ED main rules on it, among a few
other things, like a DOS-based character generator.

Someone I know owns this, and I wouldn't say this is really worth the
money, at least not if you already own the books that are on it. The
software is mostly dreadful (very poor user interface, though the map
maker is hilarious -- unfortunately, that's not what the authors intended
it to be :)

AFAIK, there are no CD-ROMs with SR rules or other stuff on it.

I own that cd and it was so not worth the money. The best thing on the cd
are the images you could use for wallpapers that kinda it.
