I just saw this movie called _Mean Guns_ that would be perfect for
all you gunslinger shadowrunners out there! Street sams, physad gunman,
hitmen, corp cleaners, you name it, the more the merrier. Bring them all
together in one place, offer them $20,000,000, and tell them only three
of them will be allowed to leave the place with the money, ONLY if they
KILL everyone else! Add in a time limit of several hours, otherwise
EVERYONE dies. Bring to boil, and watch the fun! <EGMG>.
This is a scenerio that would be perfect for weeding out all thoses
powergamers, and munchie characters that seem to plague many gm's, as
well as giving a testosterone boost to the other hardcore characters. It
would definitely be a one shot, as there'd only be a couple of
characters left when it was all over! Not for the squeemish or
overprotective player. If I every get a chance to attend GenCon, I'll
probably run it as a game event. Players would have the chance to form
alliances, joining together to take out the opposition, maybe turning on
them later, keeping it all for themselves. Just so long as no more than
three people leave the place, period. Only small arms like pistols,
smgs, and shotguns allowed. Otherwise, whosever the mastermind behind
the whole blood bath will have to take care of you himself <grin>.
I won't reveal what's really going on behind the scenes of this
bloodbath of a movie; you'll just have to catch it if you're interested.
It's on HBO here in America. I've posted the day and times below. The
film stars Christopher Lambert and Ice-T.

There's a mention of something similar in one of the world books for SR...
I'm just trying tyo think; could be Bug City, or perhaps Calfree. Can
anyone confirm this, or do I have to consult Richie's SR Library?(TM)

Ack...go memory go... I think it was a show called Golden Hour, where they
dropped 20 or so guys in a wasteland (North Africa, IIRC), and the guys
who survived won, or something... I also remember that Bedouins in the
area had bounties for every participant killed. Anyways, it's mentionned
in the ShadowBeat sourcebook, in the pseudo-TV Guide section.
