Concerning a recent thread about OOP Fasa materials. I received this
earlier today. Hopefully it will answer any questions anyone has
regarding out of print books and their fate.

------- Forwarded message follows -------
Dear Pete,

Please forgive the long delay in our reply. While we appreciate the interest
in our older material, we do not want anyone (except us) reproducing it at
this time.

At some point in the future, we may decide to put the older material on our
web page .

We appreciate the effort to contact us and hope you will understand our
decision to prohibit the transfer of this material to CD-rom.

Sincerely,

Jill Lucas
FASA

Jill Lucas is pretty nice (she's a cutie too).

I would've probably said "Who the hell do you think you are trying to re-print
our material in *any* form of media??!!!!!?!!" ;]

But that's just me, and I talk a lot and am not very politically natured ;]

Speaking OT though, I'm sure everyone has said this before, but there *are
actually gamers* that sell off their old books once a new edition comes out or
if they get tired of them (what goes through these people's minds, I have no
idea. i see no rationale for this). I've gotten several SR adventures from
bargain/half-price bookstores, and can usually find at least a couple
sourcebooks as well.

Has anyone thought of setting up a page to trade old SR books? If so, please
send me the URL. If not, do you think there would be an interest?

I have a large amount of web space. I might consider setting something
like that up, actually. Depending on how busy I am when I get back to
college, of course, since it would need to be maintained...

Jett, the Archive had a page similar to this, and we have plans to bring it
back to life at the new Archive, with more features.

Probably won't be until after the launch of the main Archive though, since
it's not the most pressing concern. Or is it? What do you folks think?

Ah, is cool. I didn't realize that there already was a place. :) Carry
on, then. I was just offering my services just in case. Carry on, then!
Unless it IS a pressing concern, in which case I wouldn't mind
temporarily hosting something. *shrug* Either way, I'm around, so lemme
know. :)
