Try over three years, possibly four...

And the Sega one's been out for over two...

I like 'em both... They aren't great, but they're fun in their own way...:)

G'day to all!

Shadowrun pc game, SR pc game, SR pc game ...

No, please not. A darn computer game (except maybe PBEMs) just can't
substitute face-to-face playing and conversation between the players.
A darn computer game will *never* be able to *look* like my own view
of the background world. Nope, computer rpgs are no real roleplaying.

Just my two pfennigs,

Bullet

I agree completely. A computer RPG is roll playing, and
face-to-face gaming is ROLE-playing... (IMO)...

Yup, you're right. Sounds like your best bet is to not buy the pc game.
On the other hand, even if it's not an adequate substitute for a real
rpg, I will buy it as a supplement for the real thing. We only play once
a week so I still have 6 days to roll play with the computer during the odd
free moment. Terry

What type of game (read: interface) will it be? Full motion? Quake like?
Storybook like? W4 like? Any idea in what time period it will be in?

Did anyone ever think maybe that you could use the PC game as an
experimentation ground for new ideas instead of Gaming...

just a thought and it might not work depending on the game.

Great. That means we'll see it in what, 5 or 6 years?

You mean in addition to rollplaying on the seventh night? :)

The PC game is in such the early stages of pre-development that it can't even
be considered a game at all. It's really just an idea. In fact there is no
story or "uber-concept" at all. It's really at the
"Hey-Let's-Do-A-Shadowrun-PC-Game" stage. There is no date set for it because
the project hasn't even been scheduled yet.

So will there be a Shadowrun PC game....yes?

Any other details...other than FASA Interactive will produce it, uhm no, not
really.

Have Fun!
