It appears to me that the RSS2 feed link on the ShadowrunRPG.com page is
not actually a like to a RSS2 feed, but rather just a like back to the
source page. Am I missing something?

Looks like a valid rss feed to me.

RSS feeds don't need style information. They're not designed to be
displayed in browsers :)

That would be a problem if it was supposed to be viewed with a web
browser, it's an RSS feed that requires an RSS reader to read it.

It seems to work properly in Safari -- if I click the "RSS" icon in the
address bar the page switches to the URL that Adam Carter also posted.
