One of the people I play SR with just asked me if there is a Shadowrun
screensaver (for Windows 95/98, I guess) but as I've never heard of one,
I'm now wondering if anyone else does...

I use the green digital S from the t-shirt design last year as
wellpaper, but never have seen a screensaver with a SR theme to
it. Also have a pointer icon that I picked up somewhere, but my
computer did'nt like the taste of it much as it was animated...

I'd love to see a screen saver with the green S that uses an effect similar
to the screens on Matrix (the falling green characters that represent the
matrix). The Shadowrun S shape with falling 0s and 1s. I don't know if we
have any programers on the list who could do it, but I'd certainly pay a
dollar or two for a freeware copy of it.

You'd pay a dollar or two for a freeware copy? Interesting... ;)

Frankly, I'd pay nothing for freeware...

Shareware, maybe :-)

I was thinking of those freeware programs which are free, but the creator
has a little message to the effect of, "If you want to send money to the
programmer, send a dollar to <address>."

If someone went to the trouble of making such a Shadowrun screen saver, I'd
send a few dollars for their time and effort, even if it was freeware :)

TMK, no, there is not. However, there is "the Matrix" screen saver which was
adapted from the movie of that name.

Hey, now that's not entirely a bad idea....

There's a screensaver for X that does this, although it's setup like the
Matrix one. I assume the source is available somewhere, and could be
modified to turn it into a SR screensaver. However, I have no clue what it
would take to turn a X based screensaver to a windows one..

I use that Matrix screensaver as well, would be cool to see it
converted over to the falling SR "S".

For those who with graphics design expertise, check out
http://www.morfit.com
I'm trying to get the hang of it and it looks rather spiffy. One of the
options is to save the 3D world you create as a screensaver.
