After seeing the recent posting that an Excel user had generated mondo
statistics for Shadowrun, I took a stab at it myself. Using the only
programming paradigm I'm even vaguely familiar with, C.

After a couple hours of staring blankly at it, and going through most of a
two-liter of Coke Classic, I'm mildly befuddled. Anyone who knows C and/or
elementary statistics is encouraged to go take a look at:

http://biology.semo.edu/~dsmith/shadowrun.c

There's a subtle bug in there which, at one in the morning local time,
escapes me completely. Consider this my cry for help. Please, please,
don't reply to the list.

BTW, has anyone taken a look at the work done by the other person (whose
name escapes me completely at this moment) and converted the stats into a
non-MS format, that the whole world may indulge?

(GridSec people: I hope this isn't too noisy. If so, just send the carp on
over.)

It has to do with SR, doesn't it? In that case it's not noise, IMO.

It's nice to see I can inspire someone. ;)

Heh. Trust me, I KNOW the feeling. There have been many times in the past
couple of years that I have torn my hair out over this project. I don't
know C, however, (or any programming language, for that matter), so I don't
think I can help you with your problem.

That would be me who sent out the statistics tables. However, I *just*
sent them out a few minutes ago, so no one's had a chance to read them over
yet. I sent them to you as well along with a request for the formats you
can utilize so I can resend them to you in a readable format.

They'll get over it.
