Hey all, we finally had web access and I was checking out a few of my old
hang outs.
Seems that some old school gamers (of the video type) are interested in a
re-release of Shadowrun for the SNES for the Gamboy Advance. Or even an all
new adventure. But they seem to think that since Data East went under that
won't happen. (Background: Data East produced the SR game for the SNES
while Sega produced it for their Mega Drive/Genesis).

I guess I'm saying that we're not the only ones that would like a Shadowrun
video game.

Something to bear in mind though is that the fact that Sega developed it
for their consoles is a potential saver... Sega are in bed with Nintendo at
the moment (along with Namco but that's beside the point) Sega may have the
right to reproduce the original (AFAIK creating a new one would require
Microsoft's blessing as IIRC they hold the rights to all FASA's computer
games properties and Bill Gates isn't likely to give a game over to his
competition if he can possibly help it.)

Scott Replied:
Maybe he'd be open to a temporary partnership? Or ...
since it's such a cool idea, maybe the idea could be
generated and developed independantly and then
presented to Microsoft, WizKids, FanPro as a proposal.

Also, remember, a lot of games produced now are
cross-platformed (PS2, XBox, & GameCube), so there
must be SOME level of cooperation there already.
