Is it okay to add House Rules to the ShadowWiki, or is it pretty much
just for Shadowrun Wold/Environment information?

No rules! Sixth World, not Shadowrun! :-)

I believe that the sixth world wiki is intended as a shadowrun world
reference. However, I believe that if things went well, Adam could be
poked repeatedly and hard enough that sister wikis could be set up.
Prime candidates would be character/campaign/run concept databases and
house rules.

But in many respects, that stuff would be then competing with one of my
other projects, the Shadowrun Supplemental . . . for which I am about
to announce exciting new plans for. Well, not right this moment, but
shortly.

What are the restrictions regarding published text? Can chunks of text
from sourcebooks be copied verbatim? Seems like that would be a
copyright violation, but paraphrasing seems exceeding time consuming.

It doesn't take that long :) I'm more worried that we're going to get
all of the sourcebooks paraphrased in their entirety given enough time.

Violating copyright - WizKid's or any individuals - is frowned upon and
will be removed.

Then your kittens meet an early doom.

Cheers, :-)

Wherever possible, reference the book, but implement minimal amounts
of content. For example, in a section about Las Vegas, you can refer
to something that is covered fully in SONA, and then say, "for
further information on this, refer to Shadows of North America". You
can even add a footnote about the sourcebook, sort of a mini
bibleography.

If you are adding content that contradicts a sourcebook, you should
clearly indicate this. Again, not by typing up the text from the
sourcebook, but by simply referencing it. e.g. "The following
information contradicts information published in Shadows of North
America." At some point, when we have enough content, we will
seperate pages that add to canon material from pages that contain
alternatives to canon material.

The idea is to add content not at all covered by sourcebooks, and to
flesh out areas the sourcebooks don't really have details on. We
don't want to compete with existing resources about the Sixth World.
In fact, done right, the wiki could lead to increased sales for
FanPro. :)
