Why don't you just report on those posts, summary-style? If anyone
really wants the real deal, they can join themselves or ask you to forward
things to them privately. For the list in general, I think just posting a
synopsis to get us going on the subject is by far more appropriate.

Sounds like a plan. Okay here is what I have so far:

animals.txt: This is a short (79 lines, 1915 characters) article that
is only a set of "lyrics" to a chant that deals with
Eagle, Wolf, Bear and.... Cougar!

The lines describe the animals, as per the chant, and
IMHO could provide some insight into creating a Cougar
Totem for SR.

nature.doc: This file is 207 lines, 8913 characters. It discusses
the basic philosophy of Shamanism, and the effects of
working with nature spritis, how to call to them, what
things you should ask of them.

Once again, I think this could be a good source to
enhance role-play. Especially if you are like me and
do not think that Shamans should just snap their fingers
and poof one simple action later they have commanded
a spirit to do something. (Personally I view it as
pleading with the spirit for its aid).

visions: 366 Lines, 21242 characters. This file is a personal
account of a shamanic vision. It also includes some
philosophy about visions. This article is also quazi
informative, almost like a lit. review for those who
have read research proposals. It includes the
resurgence of SHamanism and covers "Urban Shamanism."

It also is ended with a list of sources that may prove
useful for future reading.

Well folks, that is all I have for now. For the one or two folks
who said just go ahead and post them I will set up an alias so that
when information arrives I can bounce it straight to you rather than
have you have to wait for me to scrounge up the time to read/review
the articles....

This is your warning.

I have receive a sh*tload of requests for these notes so I am
going to post them in the next few days- probably tomorrow
evening.

Those with week mail spools may wish to leave the room :)

Seriously, I have received 20+ requests- this stuff is going over
the net. None of the files are that large. All will have the
same Subject: line of "Shaman Notes" so you can delete them easily
if you do not want to see them.

Also, I apologize for the political lecture- I just can't stand this
bitching by one party when the other gains control...
