What if FASA (Or any other cool game company) made a shareware
version of there published books. Maybe like a program. Before you
register it all you get to read is the intro and maybe a little game
info (just to get you wanting more), then after you send in $18 or
whatever, they give you a passcode to see the rest. That would be cool.

Yes that would be cool but seriously how many people would pay if they
know that they can copy it from someone else on the net :-(

Not to mention that you can also remove the passcode, as has been done with
computer games since the same day the first password-protected one came out.
Why do you think so many games come on on CD-ROM these days? Not that that's
much help with these CD-writers getting cheaper every day...
