Ok. After talking with J.D. Falk, I'm taking over the T-Shirt thing.

Here's what I'll do:

Tomorrow I've scheduled some lab time (I think). I'm going to scan in
the B&W logo from the back of the Seattle Sourcebook for the front, and
I'll come up with something for the back.

Then I will print out the designs, rescan them in again as GIFs and
they'll be put into JD Falk's FTP directory for everyone to look at.

I've called around for prices at the five local screening shops in
Mankato. Prices per shirt (QTY 12) range from about $10.10 to $18.00.
This is for one colour front and back back on a coloured shirt. I dunno
if we can make more than one colour shirt available. If not, the colour
will be ash-grey with black print (looks good) or black with either white
or flourescent gree print (it looks really kool). Other suggestions are
needed. Remember, one colour.

If we can mix-n-match colour and ink, I'll make about three or four
designs avaialable.

After factoring in shipping costs and other variables, the price will be
$15 per shirt. This might go down a LITTLE, as I still need to get a bid
from one other company, but $15 seems pretty standard for net.shirts.

I know the price isn't great, but unless we order large quantities (like
over 36 or 50), the price just isn't that great.

-------------------------

How it will work:

SEND NO MONEY RIGHT NOW, AND DON'T TELL ME YOU WANT ONE YET!

Once I get the actual designs and a finalized price, I'll post an
announcement. In order to increase interest, I'm going to cross-post to
ShadowTK and NERPS, and the shirt will reflect all four mailing lists on
it (on the front it will list all four names).

Then, you have to send me the $$$ (prepay) along with a form you'll fill
in with your summer address and other stuff. Foreign orders will be
accepted, but the price will be a bit higher and only U.S. funds
will be accepted (we can work out the details then).

I'll collect orders for maybe four weeks (to allow for mail delays), and
ONLY those people that order will have their names on the shirt (sorry,
no other way to include everyone.)

If you are ordering more than one shirt, we may be able to work a deal as
shipping will be reduced, so that's an encouragement for people local to
each other to gang-order.

Also, the shirt WILL have a date on it, so that next year we can do
another one if we want with a NEW date.

Any questions? Just ask.

I have a scanned RGB gif of the Shadowrun logo. It needs a little work,
but I can send it to you if it'll help. It's just the title, with the
skull and scrollwork behind, in living 8-bit colour.

Lemmie know. I can send it in just about any graphics format you can
come up with.

Nope, can't do colour, remember?

I'll scan the B&W from SS

Geez, I freakin' _hate_ the reply to shadowrn, instead of the reply to
the second-generation sender. Means I gotta alias everyone of import,
and then I mis-type them when I'm suffering from a stupid-spell.

Sorry, guys, that last message was supposed to be sent via private
e-mail. (Not that I sent anything incriminating or embarrassing, like my
X-gif collection, or anything. . . )

:)

Your government it working hard. . .

. . . to keep you amused.

(At This point count me in for the shirt, by the way, what FTP site is it
you are referring to??)

Sounds Like a plan to me.

J. Long, when you quote a message, please only quote the portions
needed to understand the conversation. In other words, delete the parts
you aren't responding to. The good Doctor Doom explained this pretty well
a few weeks ago.

The site is 'cais.com', in the directory '/usr/jdfalk'.

This is _all_ you had to say, and you quoted the whole thing?
People get _very_ seriously flamed for less than that on the less polite
mailing lists.

Put me on the list of guaranteed shirt buyers, too.
