Well folks, I must apologize again. My last two messages were filled
with garbage. This is the last straw. I have finally concluded that
Microsoft Windows 95 sucks wind, and the Exchange mailer is worth
excrement. As you can see by this message, I have gone back to using a
real operating system, OS/2. Problems are over. I refuse to be
distracted by Microsoft's flash ever again. Only real substance from
now on....
Thanks for endulging my rant, and again, sorry for the mess.

Never had a problem with '95, and I've been running it since Beta, :)
but Exchange is crud, utter crud, :( it's a real shame in some ways to
see MS made it to 2054, never mind, a few good runs against them should
slove that problem :)

Nice to see you've sorted your problems, May I be the first to welcome
you back (not that you've had a *long* absence. :)

Just give it time. If I recall the Seattle Sourcebook correctly, all the
high-tech industry in Redmond gets wiped out by the Great Crash.

True, but... there is a reference to Microsoft, in as much as Bill
Gates forms a corporation called Microdeck, so, unfortunately for some,
he and his empire (albeit smaller) are still around. This may or may not
be a good thing, depending on how you look at it.

Well I disagree with you choice of Operating Systems. OS/2 is not user friendly. Windows
95 I have had no problems with. And most of the other people I talk do don't have problems
with it. Now on the other and being in the tech support industry I have had people
complain time and time again about OS/2 and how Un User friendly it was. But if OS/2 is so
grate how come you walk into a computer store and there is [-] that much software for it.
But I guess what ever works for you works.

What mailer are you using that allows a column width of
over 200 ?!?

BTW, ELM (people are still using, believe it or not) does
not deal with anything over 80 columns wide. I've got to
forward the thing to myself in order to reformat it if I
want to read it.

Bleah. You're right. When I sent this message, I had just bought Prime
Runners at Archon 20. After I finished with my mail, I started reading the
book. So BILL does have descendants -- funny, I figured that at least his
first-born male child would be forfeit...

Picked up a couple more books at Archon as well. I may have some questions
about a couple things, ESPECIALLY some of the Paracritters of Europe, by
the time I've finished reading.

Nope sorry, provided you keep your pact with the devil, he will
occassionally request payment, as for fiurst born, the continuation of a
contract is a usual thing, and Legba/Scratch?satan, whatever, will claim
that in preference for payment, after all, it's souls he wants, not
lives. You can sign your soul away and still live a long and fruitful
life - hence the saying "the devil looks after his own". :)

(And to think I'm an extensive Microsoft user - what the hell am I
saying about my lord and master :-? )

Ask away, there are many Europeans in this group who'll answer you, and
Gurth is the unofficial Guru and Shadowrun master (I wonder if we can
call him a Sensei??? more in keeping with the SR flavour?)

Hey Gurth how about it, waddya prefer Guru (as in 60's fruitcake) or
Sensei as in "oriental" master. ???

Yes, but MicroDeck Industries, run by Brian Gates, is located in
Bellevue. And yes, it IS the successor to Microsoft.

If I want user friendly, I'll buy a Mac. OS/2 is an advanced operating
system for a knowlegdable user. People use it for its power and
stability. Why do you think it was chosen by most banks in the country
to run the ATM machines? Next time you get out some money, think about
it.

I didn't have any problems with it either until I tried to do
something productive. It plays my games pretty good, though. But so
does my Nintendo.

See above.

Actually, OS/2 has more software for it than any other operating
system seeing how it runs DOS, Windows, and OS/2 programs. But I guess
you didn't know that...
