The only reason that the two logos are similar could be to do with the
settings of
each of the games. EarthDawn is set in the distant past of Earth, ShadowRun
in
the near future. The idea is that magic runs in cycles. Sometimes almost
none,
others quite high. When magic level gets high enough Horrors can come
through
from their dimension to ours. EarthDawn is set the last time this happened.
ShadowRun is, I suppose, just before it happens again. Thus the two games
are
linked.
