A Mideastern dragon. Instead of siccing you on some actual book of
folklore to learn something, I'll try for the more possible source and
point out that there's a good description of one under the Eastern Dragon
description in the SRII rules.

I was just thumbing through my SR Blue Book and noticed that in the
Critters section, under the heading for Great Dragons, it refers to Aden as
a Sirrush.

I guess I never paid much attention to this before, but who, or what is a
Sirrush?

It's like an Eastern Dragon, but it's back feet point backwards instead of
forwards like they do on normal Eastern Dragons (or it might be the other
way around). Don't ask me where I heard this though.

Other than a real brief description in SRII (under Eastern Dragons, 'may
be confused with' section in Critters chapter), I don't know where you'd
find info on them, though PAoE might be a good place to look.

A Sirrush is a type of Middle Eastern dragon, similar to an Eastern Dragon
(no wings, long and serpentine body) but a little bulkier and more
Assyrian/Babylonian in appearance. I believe they also lack the facial
"whiskers" of the Easterns.
