While I don't like SJ Games very well (they dicked me over when I wrote
the rules up for Aircraft in Car Wars and never paid me), I must say that
as source material, the GURPS series has some fo the most thought-out and
researched materials I've seen for any gaming system.

Sounds like something for the LIST FAQ:
Other sources of material that might be helpful
Cyberpunk 2020
Vampire (think about it)
Nightlife
Tales from the floating Vagabond (for the loonies)
GURPS * <-- That's a wildcard :-)

Yep, that was me, back in 1987 or 88. I wrote up the rules for
airplanes. They published it in the quarterly magazine (autoduel
quarterly) and paid me $120 for the magazine article, but I never signed
a release form AND I never received any royalties when they published the
rules as Aeroduel and worked it into GURPS Autoduel and GURPS Car Wars.

No no . . . I'm not bitter or anything.....

*grumble*

I know how you feel. I was writing up the rules for boats and had just
finished, when SJG released their rules. The bad part was that the rules
were almost identical. They truly are the illuminati...
