Sorry to burst everyone's bubble on this, but I have been doing some digging
into the future thoughts of AOL (hey, they provide, just go look for it).
They are likely to become the first really major home interactive-multimedia
podium. In short, they are the Telecoms with all the trimmings.

Also, they are working for the modem-upgrade thing and have some regions in
testing with 56K areas and up. I recently started doing lots of reading on
the 266+ mghz machines, especially that AWESOME 850+ monster chip that is now
in existence (and for only a measly $12,000 (american)- SING ME UP!!!- NOT).

And they didn't become UCASOL, they became GOL (Global Online), as they
already have connections into more than a few countries now in the 20th. And
by god in hell/heaven (choose for yourself), they have some of the nastier
cadres of computer nuts on their side (have you SEEN the picture of the AOL
security head? KNOCK ME OUT!!!). That is probably part of the reason that
B.G. (you figure it out) is starting to hook up with them, and is looking
into nasty things of his own.

Sorry to Rant...yeah, AOL can be really annoying, but with so many things
going at once, I give them a little bit of credit now and again.

Actually, since I have yet to see mention of a company called Global OnLine,
and I've seen several mentions of UCAS OnLine in such auspicious places as
the Matrix Law section of VR 2.0, I'm inclined to say that they DID become
UCAS OnLine.

Don't know what you mean by this, but any reasonably talented hacker can run
rings around AOL's security, and they have repeatedly proven this in the
past. ASIST Technology ain't gonna help them with that.
