I have noticed that the debate about small drones has ignored a few
of the basic SHADOWRUN concepts. People are discussing if a small drone
can actually fire even a small caliber gun and handle the recoil. the
answer is YES IT CAN. The reason why is because of the recoil compensation
known as GAS-VENT. Even a shoebox size drone can shoot like a combat
drone for at least 2 rounds/per action phase. Granted common sense must
still be used (it is kind of silly to think that a shoebox sized drone
could pack a FN-HAR assualt rifle but an Ares Preditor is perfectly fine).
Another note: it would be posible to put a ranged taser on a small
drone. You know, the kind with two trailing wires with needles at the
ends. After all who wants some one to get close to your drones before
you zap them?
