Does anyone know where in the SR3 books that it's stated that one can
get a FoF (Friend-or-Foe) system for the Smart-link? I distinctly
remembering reading about how you could have the Smart-link not shoot
allies back in SR2, but I can't find *any* reference to it in the SR3
books. I was wondering if there was a change between versions or
something.

According to Downtym, on Fri, 07 Jun 2002 the word on the street was...

I know.

Oh, you want someone to _tell_ you...? ;) Check Cannon Companion, page 33
-- the Safe Target System is what you're after.

That's in the section where it talks about walking autofire from one target
to another, and what I think it means is that your brain can tell the
smartlink to stop firing when it's not pointing more or less at a target
you want to shoot. This is different from not shooting good guys at all, in
that if you have to ID every (potential) target yourself.

IIRC Cannon Companion, listed as a "Safe Target System".
