but I believe my query is one that has not been deiscused previously, at least
not since I've been on the list. While perusing Todd's Essence Buyback plan,
I pondered the following:
Does a smartlink include both hands, or just one?
Simplicity supports the former. However, a datajack (which can serve as
a smartlink for the properly eqipped gun) is a single jack. Making a smartlink
serve both hands serves to give one two jacks, in a way (though I do realize
the difference between the two).
Consider the implications: A gun is knocked out of hand and must be retrieved
with the opposite digital extremity. Or, for the regaining of Essence, one
could remove the right smartlink but not the left.
To me, common sense says that a single system is all that is required and
that it includes but ONE hand, and that an additional charge will procure
a second connection in the opposite hand, without having to purchase a new
or second smartlink altogether.
