: Nothing that a smartgun link couldn't take care of though. Oooo evil
thought for
:all of you deckers out their. A virus that is stored in a weapons
smartgun that
:requires a softkey in order to be able to remove the effects of the
virus. Picture it
:the street sammy finds a very nice custom pistol that looks to be
smartriggd. He
:grabs it. It checks his system and subsequently shuts off said sammy's
nervous
:system <read as wired reflexes.> imagine the implacations.

Which is one reason why there would be no hardware link between the
wired reflexes and most other cyberware (especially cyber with I/O
capability). As a Decker, I'd worry a thousand times more about where I
stick my broad-bandwidth datajack (and closely associated cyberware) than
as a samurai checking data that my smartlink would probably not recognize
or accept. Deckers tend to have other deckers, not samurai, as their
enemies and rivals. But hey, whatever floats your boat. Just remember,
sauce for the goose...
Otoh, more than a few samurai know something about smartlink and
Simsense repair and programming- this need not be a Decker trick, and
would work a lot better coming from another samurai.
