According to Mongoose, at 14:16 on 6 Mar 99, the word on
the street was...

Having just re-read the description of the system, I have to agree. It
sounds like a good thing to have, but the fact that it's an implanted
system, rather than a normal simsense-type thing with electrodes, makes it
of very limited use. Unless you build a character, or an entire shadowrun
group, around it, I doubt it'll see much use.

What about instead of implanting it (the Snake Eyes), imbedding in a
helmet or something? That should, IMO, make it cheaper too. :)

Or is the Snake Eyes system just a broadcasting system? (ie, is it
useless without independent sensory input?)

It lacks sensory input (you need cybereyes and ears, and a rating 2
comlink to route the info). It seems mostly a simsense / rigger protocal
coversion system; it takes the sensory output, and makes it viewable to a
rigger as drone senor info.
It also lets the rigger send drone sensor info to the snakeyes user.
Normally, this would (if done as normal simsense) be pretty distracting,
but theres no penalty to the snakeyes user. Just how it works seems a
little beyond most external com gear, excepting possibally BattleTack type
equipment. It seems like most times it would be WAY more function than
is needed.
