More software.

SKILLJACKER
The skillwires system connects preprogrammed physical data to
your bodys own spec (otherwise the sensory data from a Martial
Arts 8 recorded on a 4'5" japanese man would plenty weird out a
7'2" female troll)
The skilljacker is a small add-in to the jack, fitting into the
datajack socket and allowing a soft to be plugged thru' it.
The jacker learns your physical data by listening to your neural
signals (takes approx 1 week/level)
When learned , it can run a physical skill soft at 1/2 skill
level on you WITHOUT SKILLWIRES.
(MAX skill you can get=jackers rating)
COST lv1 15 000
2 35 000
3 50 000
(or as your game supports)

BODY MANIPULATOR
This manipulates body chemistry and allows limited control over
body functions.(can learn the skill Bio-feedback with it)
You can control hunger, thirst, bladder, bowels, heart rate,
blood pressure, sexual excitement, counter addiction symtoms,
nausea head aches, and learn to move individual muscle groups.
In extreame situations you can push your body HARD, get +1 to
any physical stat for D6+1 minutes and take a -1 to that stat for
approx 15-20 mins later.

I've read the books and I'm still a bit confused on
what softs need a skillwire and what softs just need a
knowsoft link. Specificly I'm wondering on something
I heard a while back about Riggers being able to use
Autosofts with just a knowsoft link and an encephalon.
But Vehicle Skills are Active aren't they? So
wouldn't that require a skillwire?

Its a bit of a grey area, so double check with your GM. The rule of thumb I
use is that if the chip makes your body to do something, then you need the
skillwires. If its telling you what to do, then you don't need them.

A firearms chip needs wires because the chip is giving commands to the
nerves in your arm on how to hold the pistol in order to shoot someone. A
rigger doesn't need skillwires because the chip can directly interface with
the VCR in the rigger's body, bypassing the need to have the skillwires
tell the body what to do.
