field would be in the movie Aliens. There you see typical multi-squad
interaction and geed a good idea how equipment would be distributed.
These are just typical marine grunts.
I don't have exact numbers, but I believe they went something like this:
1 Lt (face it, they have no compat expierience and probably just
graduated with an ROTC scholarship in philosophy)
1 Sergent Tough, expierienced, weathered. Loved.
1 dude who snuck in a sawed-off assault shotgun
2 Heavy machine guns on Gyros and motion detectors
2 specialists (do the electronic/computer thing)
Everyone (except the LT and the gunners) had assault rifles with grenade
launchers (9mm explosive tipped caseless)
Grenades for everyone (they were shotgun-shell sized, and could be launched
from the grenade launchers or used by hand).
One of them was a medic (maybe two)
1 Drop-ship pilot
1 Drop-ship co-pilot
Bishop
Ripley

Ok, let's look at this with cyber. There is no reason to put cyber on
anyone except for maybe WR1 on the gunners, and datajacks on the
specialists. All of the functions that cybereyes and stuff would provide
can eb gained with standard equipment.
Just some late-night ramblings.
I know Aliens isn't perfect, but it is the best example of futuristic
firearms and person combat demonstrations. Watch old Vietnam war movies
like Platoon, Full Metal Jacket, etc for other example, although they
lack futuristic firearms, the principles are still the same (squads and
fireteams, etc).
