One of the more interesting "orignalities" in our senario, is that there
exists a "cybermancy" (kinda) based technology called "System II". It
is an
illegal, underground, officially "non-existant" running experiement being
conducted by a group of unknown (but very well backed!) bioengineers,
cybernetic scientists, and heremetic mages.

They tend to "recruit" thier volunteers by shanghi. My character is one of
the original 13 experiment subjects. He was a mundane elf merc in the 3rd
Legion. Then one day he woke up in Chicago, it was 3 years later, and his
body had been totally restructred.

I know you're probably thinking "munchie", or "million $ man", but
it's
much "deeper" than that. True my character "Spawn", has 3 10+
attributes,
but with the calibre of NPCs I got up against, it only gives me a slight
edge. Here's the bonus/check list:

Bonuses -
Cutting edge experimental cyber
Alpha grade bioware
Sensitivity to magic (i.e. Detec Magic)
Almost nil essence lost...in relation to cyber
Natural aural mask

Checks -
UNKNOWN side effects of cyberware
Some unknown pieces of cyber/bioware implanted
mental hooks implanted by the bioengineers that can be activated by
anyone of them, to my chagrin
Cannot add/remove cyberwear....ever

So you can see that he's pretty balanced and not just a rampaging
"superman". He is currently resumed his merc activities, primarily in the
unrban evironment. He is also in the process of locating the people who
changed him, and other "victims". he located 3 others so far. He had to
kill one. Long story :)

Anyway...thought I'd share some of what we are doing.
