I just got this from some moron who seems to be totally incapable of telling
the difference between a mailing list archive, and a web page....

GOD this one's a thickee....

Subject: Typo on your web page

I happened upon your web site and noticed that the word "Beginning" is
misspelled (you have it as "Begining"). The URL of the page is:
http://listproc.itribe.net/shadowtk/9611/msg00268.html

I hope this helps.

I just thought I'd share it with you...

Seeing someone this thick would make even the dumbest windoze user feel
intelligent....

It's an automated spambot. My own web page got hit with it a few weeks
ago, and so did someone on ShadowTK due to the TK logs being online, except
the message bounced right to TK, I believe.

Don't we all... The only message anywhere near that thread that had the word
"Begining" as the subject was by one QWERTY....

:)

Why the hell would someone set up a SPAMBOT to go around correcting web page
spelling mistakes?????

That one makes absolutely no sense at all...

You're telling me that someone crossed a spambot with a spellchecker
program?

I don't know about the spam you got, but the one sent to me and TK had a
shill for spellchecker software.

Would that be a spamchecker or a spellbot?

I've got mailed by this joker, as did my college's astronomy club.
I think It's an automated form letter- looks like he's trying to sell
something.

Hmm. It's a reasonable crusade; very little actual grammar and spelling
is taught in many schools nowadays. Not to mention that the US decided
to redefine the spelling of various words (e.g. "nite", "color"); I
can
only guess as to why... ;-)

Mine too.
It was a message on the shadowtk archives, and it wasn't even MY message.
That's what I found amusing. He was correcting me on a spelling mistake for
the subject of an article that wasn't even mine....

That's why I called him so thick that even the most dense windoze user can
feel superior...

Heh, just today I received one of those "Is your site real?" messages, which I
attached, below. Appears that he could've benefited from that spambot
spellchecker...

And yeah, I answered it in the appropriate manner ;-)
