Subject: Some Questions: Autofire
Date: Fri, 6 Mar 92 17:20:30 est
1. The rules state that on autofire, the power of the weapon is increased
by one. Is this increase per-shot-fired? I.E. if I am firing
7 shots, does each shot have a power increase of +7?

1a. If not, maybe this is a good way to make all multiple shots on
one roll: i.e. total recoil mods, make roll, power increase
is plus one per shot fired... whaddya think?

2. The rules state that the number of shots that can be fired, as long as
it is no greater than 7, is equal to the firer's firearms skill +1. Is
this number of shots per-*round* or per-*action*. I.E. if I have
firearms
6 and 3 actions, do I get 21 shots that round, or 7?

Finally, can someone tell me if the Skillweb printed in the 2nd ed rules
is correct?

According to the Rigger Black Book, you roll *once* to hit for a burst or
autofire. If you fire 7 rounds from a 4M3 submachine gun, then the
effective damage for the burst is 11D3. Power is increased by 1 for each
round fired, the Damage Category is increased by 1 for each 3 rounds fired.
Staging is unmodified. All the rounds in a burst are counted as a single
attack, and are rolled for once.

Again, according to the RBB, a standard autofire weapon may fire up to 10
rounds per action, regardless of skill.

Recoil is assesed at a rate of 1 per bullet fired in that burst or in
previous bursts that action.

Don't know... mine is 3rd.
