Subject: Sorcery adepts and spell casting

In that "synchronization of auras" one is granted temporary
astral sight of the target.
In Earthdawn, when one weaves a thread one is granted
"threadsight", again a temporary astral sense that lasts while the
threadweaving is occuring, for those Disciplines/Races unable to gain
Astral Sight.
Finally, there's an interesting version of assensing in Earthdawn
that gives the magical overlay of the astral aura of something, but
without actually assensing and creating the huge projection guaranteed to
attract the attention of the Horrors.
