What is the point of the SOTA edge you can buy during character creation.
If you buy it the >6 availability rule comes into play. Once the game has
started you have to start making those availability roles. Does the edge
mean that avail. roles automatically succeed ? Or do they just cut down on
the legwork involved in getting the cyberware installed?

IMHO, the SOTA edge just means that the pc knows where to find a place that
does those sorts of things (like a delta-grade clinic) or is a client to
something that specializes in those sorts of things. It does cut down on the
legwork some as the pc only has to pay the place to acquire the materials
that he/she needs, and knows where to go and get it.
