I thought I would comment.
1) Star Wars. I don't know what you people are smoking, but it must be good.
>From playing Star Wars RPG for almost a year now I can tell you this:
There is no air in space, it is a void...Just as we normally
understand it. The Force is quite different from SR Magic.
The Force deals with mind powers, simple as that. The Force is
NOT equivalent to Mana. The Force is the innate energy of items.
The Cyborgs in Star Wars have as much of this as everyone else.
The Ysalimari (?) from the Zahn books are the only known creatures
that actually can repel the force. The Force also has a lot to
do with Fate and being a Hero.
Check out the RPG for a better explanantion, but this is what I remember
off hand.
2) Spelljammer. When ships leave a planets atmosphere they take a bit of
air with them equal to the size of the ship x 2. This air clings to the
ships. In fact any viscuous objects will also, water, smoke, etc. Outside
the ships is what is known as WildSpace (If you are in a Crystal Sphere which
could be analogous to a galaxy) Between Crystal Spheres is the Phlogiston,
or Flow. This is a sea of whirling colors which is very volatile to flame
and has NO connection to any other planes. Gravity also works funny, but
that is another topic.f
I just wanted to clear up some facts from my other two favorite games. I did
not mean to flame anyone. SO do not take these comments as such, because
they were not meant in such a way.
BTW: Anyone else heard on the news that even Janet Reno is getting peaved at
Beavis and Butthead? She made some comment about the networks needing some
responsibility for what they put on the air.
