spark is instantaneous? Yep, it most coitenly do. (Although I sorta think
they meant it to be sustained -- I'm not exactly looking at a Sourcebook or
a Grimoire {what a name} right now, but I remember something about it being
a travelling spark, and that you had to sustain it for x actions (dependent
on something-or-other) while it took its good ol' time getting to its
target. And this would be exactly why my otherwise-pretty-damn-sick French
Elven Racoon shaman didn't get it, and opted for other such things as Clout
and my all-time favorite: AH-AH-AH-Acid Bomb!)
As for making a sustained damaging manipulation, the jury's still out in
this headquarters. (I'm currently running a 1m tall brick who likes to
throw things, so my magic theory is a little rusty {1}.) Think about it
for a minute, though: a sustained clout? A sustained acid bomb?? These
things just happen once, and their done. And what's the longest you've
ever seen a spark stay in one place? (Not very long.) To do this, you'd
have to make a very general Harm spell (anti-Heal) ... but wait, wouldn't
this require holding your focus (or whatever) on your oppenent for the time
it takes for the spell to accomplish its task? Sorry, but I think you're
better off dicoting your weapon than playing around with silly anchoring
rules.
Well, dazzall until my mind is a little more focused....
