If my memory is working you are not allowed to sustain spells while
astral project. Would need to check to be sure though.

Yep that means you loose it if you fall over or a bus drives between
you. Nice trick while it lasts, just don't try it over more than
combat rounds most of the time.
I have however seen more than one drone trundling about with
improved invis sustained on it, but only while walking about, and if
possible the magician walks right next to the drone.
