<RANT>

The person who posted the spell lists up to rgfc complained because it got
deleted by sysadmin....

He's posted it as a uuencoded RTF file....

THe idiot has just posted the text version up.... AS A BINARY!!!!

AGAIN!!!!!

To all you newbies out there.

If you are going to post text, post it AS text.
uuencoding makes a document BIGGER, people hate them and no-one can be
BOTHERED to decode them, because it's a waste of time and effort....

Actually I'm not complaining I was just telling people that it would not
be available there anylonger, and was asking for anyhelp they could give in
finding a proper place. Yes I'm a newbie and didn't know any better. I've
never had a problem with attached files. and the lists were posted in
exactly the sameway if they came up differently then I don't know why. The
problem was that the sysadmin. does not allow posts ove 100K thats why I
went to the smaller size of the text version and later the zipped version.

I take your advice and paste the list into the message as text in the
future, if there is any problems with the last post.

The only reason I posted that to this list is becasue I knew you read it,
and the e-mails I sent you from the newsgroup bounced back with
"undeliverable: Unstable" or something...

The fact that you then later replied to me from one of those just means your
server cocked up......

Oh no not again SORRY I accidentily forgot to change the settings in
my mail program back to plain text from HTML (use it when talking to a
couple of friends) will have to learn to check that better in the
future, first time since you all solved the problem for my the first
time.

Again SORRY !

I wouldn't doubt it. I read all my own mail the mail from the list and
I just started with the newsgroups on a semi-regular basis (I've been
there 5 time in the last six months) but thanks again for the advice.

Sorry fo the inconvience (if I keep saying sorry I'll need a sorry
button on my keyboard)

I think you're likely to receive more flame mail before those two expire...
If I were you, I'd delete them.
(You can send delete messages, and, as long as you posted them, they will be
deleted.....)

You fixed it, i had wondered why one of your attachments looked like
a minimal HTML file :)

Do be good on your check though, attachments like that result in
multipart messages which are a pain to read, keep it up and you are
likely to get Thwapped, flamed isn't so likely but there is a VERY
nice flame thrower to go with the Carp :)

As to where to distribute the list,
Don't send stuff that big to the list, someone will jump on you!
Paulo's web page is a good bet, but not everyone can use the web
easily (or find the time to do hunting about).

I'm quite happy to see the occasional update direct, ref comments on
the mail i sent you?, but i have plenty of mailbox, don't start
distributing it regularly to folks email unless they want you to do
that, some folks have very limited space, or have to pay.

Mark
