Since a mage can find someone by using spell locks. How about the
following.

Coudln't you leave a spell locked item in a fixed location.
When the mage go astral (SP?) the spell locked item would become a point
of reference to finding your meat body. That way even though
the meat body may be moving, The Mage would always have a way home.

Any ideas appreciated.

It would still require a test...which is what you're allowed anyway if you
loose your body. Besides I'd argue that an Astral mage/shaman's
connection to his own meat body would be stronger than his connection to a
focus... However, if you go with that idea (the spell-lock thing), you
could just as easily use the converse... plant a lock on your meat body
and take off, new astral projectee's could then trace the connection to
where you went off to. (Astral mage follows car and team catches up with
aid of second mage..) hmmm.

You can find a magician if you have a spell lock. But to do so you'll have to
use ritual magic, and you just can't do ritual magic when you're astrally
projecting. Sorry.
