Hi,

I have a (I hope) really simple question:

What is your Sorcery-Skill used for? Anything I found was to raise your Magic
Pool, but there gotta be something else I just haven't seen, right?

It used to be *much* more important.
In 1stEd it was used as the T# for people to resist your spells (not the
force)
Now it's just used in Magic Pool and Astral Pool generation and it can also
be used by astral mages as a combat skill.
There might be more but I can't remember.....

Astral combat SRII p147
Making wards Grimoire p92
gather ritual sample Grimoire p35
quickening & dispelling Grimoire p44

This skill is the backbone of any mage for more than spellcasting (dont
forget rituals)

Most important is that it creates your Magic Pool, but you can use it to
hit opponents with in astral combat (in place of Unarmed Combat, if you
want to), set wards, perform forensic magic (gathering and preserving
evidence), and probably some other things I can't think of at the moment.

Also can be used to assensew greater info form spells, as conjuring can
for spirits, enchanting for foci etc, instead if the normal Intelligence
test.
