in the main book SR2, several natural spirits, like the desert and field
spirits, are given the power 'attack', but this power is never explained,
as far as I know. To confuse matters, elementals are not given this
power, but later they are given a specific attack. Also, slightly off the
topic, the power 'accident' is refered to as not being inharently
dangerout, unless you fall off a cliff, but in all of the stories, the
accidents are really dangerous, like impaling yourself on a sharp rock or
breaking your neck in a tree branch fork.

I noticed the same thing...If you reference SRI rules, spirits are given attack
stats by type (man, sky, etc..), which can be used in a pinch... I don't
remember if this problem is remedied in the Paranormal Animals of Europe critter
list.

Anybody else know?

Of course! The plot goes so much better that way...besides, the most
impressive and obvious ones are going to be those that are normally a million
to one shot...
