No. They use threat ratings and their Force as a pool.

Yes. SR3 page 265-266. Combat Pool = (Q+I+W)/2 (round down). Astral Combat Pool
= Force x 1.5. Karma Pool = Average of character's Karma Pool, adjusted for the
level of threat it represents.

Threat ratings are a thing of the past (SR2).

Yes. In SR3, all beings get to use whatever aplicable pools they might
have. In its manifest form, a spirts combat and astral combat pool would be
one and the same, not 2 seperate pools. Same goes for characters using
astral perception.
