No, it was not obvious. When I saw _Burning Bright_ in the
subject line, I thought to myself "Gee, maybe somebody read it and is
telling me it was worth the money," or maybe "Gee, maybe somebody wants
to know if it's out yet." But I innocently open the message and POW! I
get to see the entire damn plotline. It's probably still a good book,
but it pisses me off that people are inconsiderate enough to ruin it for
others. And as to the title, I did not know that "Burning Bright" had
anything to do with a nuke until you all told me so. So don't carp on
about how I should "just know by the title" or how "the subject line is
enough" because I shouldn't and it's not.
The point about censorship is totally irrelevant. I don't care
if y'all want to talk about the book. I agree that that's what this list
is for. But is it so hard to put in an extra word in the subject line?
This isn't a personal attack against anyone, it's just a rabid vent of
frustration on a subject that truly aggravates me.

Thanks for you time

[Big rant on spoilers]

I have to agree with him people, it is just plain courtesy to place a
spoiler alert either in the subject field or at least at the start of the
message.

Absolutely. The first mail about Burning Bright, in the first two
lines, dived straight into a major spoiler.

Normally people on this list are pretty good about indicating that
a spoiler is approaching.
