I recall seeing a rule that prohibited this, but can't recall for the life of me
just where.

The object that a spell is anchored to absolutely does provide a link to the
caster (Grimoire2, pg 47.) I can't find an answer for quickened spells
written out as such, but I would assume such a link exists due to the
expenditure of Karma.

Oops, I forgot about that.

I don't think it's as much the expenditure of karma that does it as much as
them being linked like a sustained spell is for energy to run, but I'd have
to look up something first.

On the other hand, it's kinda a moot point, since the mage can easily
perform an Astral Quest to hide the link.
